Evansville in it's younger days was a ship yard for the navy and if you go down to the river you can still find civil war buttons ,knife's , and the remains of old boots. Also we have Willard Library witch is inhabited by a very friendly ghost I should know I saw her in the children’s section one time when I was 8. But that is not my story. See now you know that Evansville is whole different city at night and at night is when my story takes place.

It all started when I first got interested in ghosts and legends. My cousins and I would all sit around in my grandma's basement and tell stories. Hey even today I am scared to go down there. See you have to know the history behind her house. At night you can here people walking around where there aren't any people. Also my grandpa died in that house of an heart attack. It's a creepy house and neighborhood.

See after all though "meetings" we would have with ghosts they stayed in my room. I don't know why. But every night I could here and feel the top of bunk my bed moving around. But when I woke up in the morning all that was there was my stuffed animals. The second night a scratching could be herd by me and my best friend. Sometimes the scratching got so loud that I had to put a pillow over my ears to sleep. See I figured that if they wanted to hurt me they would have done so. That’s why I didn't worry about it. Also when it was hot and I didn't want a pillow on my head I would yell at them to shut up and they would. One day me and my friend went to put our ears on the wall were the scratching was coming from. As I put my ear to the wall I could feel the wall vibrating. I knocked on the wall maybe scaring of whatever it was but the scratches just got louder. This went on for a few more years until it just up and stopped.
